Strictly Come Dancing fans say 'real winner robbed' as they spot 'telling sign'
Strictly Come Dancing aired its highly-anticipated final on Saturday night as Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola were crowned the 2023 winners, beating Layton Williams and Bobby Brazier.
During the 2023 finale, hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the trio performed three spectacular routines - a favourite dance, show dance and judges' pick in a bid to lift the Glitterball trophy. The judges - Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas - gave their scores but the winner was down to the viewers' vote.
At the end of the show, it was revealed that Ellie, 22, and Vito, 31, had won and although viewers were delighted by the result some fans argued that Layton, 29, and Nikita Kuzmin should have won due to scoring higher and topping the leaderboard with 119 points. Taking to social media, viewers claimed Layton and Nikita were 'robbed' while other fans pointed out Layton's 'sad' reaction ahead of the results being called out.
