Strictly Bobby's family in tears over poignant Jade Goody tribute during final

Bobby Brazier's family were left in tears during the Strictly Come Dancing final on Saturday night.

The EastEnders star, 20, is the eldest son of late reality star Jade Goody – who died aged 27 in 2009 after she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Shipwrecked star Jeff Brazier, 44, is the father of Bobby and Big Brother star Jade’s other son Freddie – and he welcomed his sons during his short romance with Jade, which lasted from 2002 until 2004.

During the final, Bobby and pro partner Dianne Buswell performed their Couple’s Choice to This Woman’s Work by Maxwell, which was in tribute to his late mum, Jade. Bobby's dad Jeff and brother Freddie, 19, were seen breaking down in tears in the audience over the routine.

During the judges' feedback, emotional judge Shirley Ballas said: "I don't know how you're feeling right now but I've been watching your papa over there and your brother, and I don't think there's a dry eye in the place over there." The camera then panned over to Bobby's proud yet emotional family.

Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "What a credit to Jeff, bless Bobby #Strictly", a different account put: "Jeff has raised an incredible young man & Jade would be so proud! #Strictly", another viewer wrote: "That dance is incredible and Jeff sobbing is proper ruining me #Strictly" while another fan added: "Jeff is easily the proudest dad in the country right now. What a legend. Go on, Bobby #Strictly."

It comes as Bobby fought back tears on Friday's It Takes Two as his brother, Freddie, issued an emotional message ahead of the Strictly Come Dancing final on Saturday night. Bobby and Dianne were played a video from the EastEnders star's family as they spoke about the duo's journey in the competition so far. On the video, Freddie, 19, said his brother was an inspiration to him.

Earlier this week, Bobby opened up about the support of his family and how it keeps him going on Strictly Come Dancing. The EastEnders star's father Jeff and brother have regularly been seen in the audience, cheering him on. However, grandmother Jackiey Budden, who is the mother of Bobby's late mum, Jade Goody, is said to be banned from attending the live shows following her fractured relationship with Jeff after a long-running feud that's spanned decades.
