Strictly's Ellie Leach's love life from cheating ex to 'close bond' with Vito
It's Ellie Leach's final chance to wow viewers and judges this Saturday night.
The former Coronation Street star is set to dazzle on the dancefloor alongside professional partner Vito Coppola in tonight's hotly-anticipated Strictly Come Dancing final. In recent weeks, we've seen the actress, famed for playing Faye in Corrie, achieve success with 10s from the judges for her impressive performances, but will it be enough to claim the coveted Glitterball Trophy?
Reflecting on her time during the BBC competition, Ellie has spoken out about how far she's come both on the dancefloor and away from the stage in her personal life, growing in confidence and independence. But ever since the 2023 series began, rumours swirled about the connection between singletons Ellie and Vito.

Ellie is newly single after she called it quits with her boyfriend in May after five years, while Vito is also said to be single after reportedly enjoying some low-key dates with presenter Helen Skelton back in March.
It was reported that Ellie had "taken time to reflect which direction her life is going in." But, Ellie later revealed the reason for the split was that Reagan had cheated on her, telling The Mirror: "Being cheated on was upsetting, but now’s the perfect time to put my all into Strictly and give that 500 percent."

Ellie also previously opened up on how struggles with confidence, explaining: “Self-confidence is something I’ve always struggled with. As an actor, people don’t see that – they think you’re this confident person and you can do anything. I’m hoping Strictly will bring that for me, push me and make me realise I’m capable of things."
But she has praised her dancing partner, giving her lots of encouragement, telling The Mirror: “Vito has taught me so much already. He tells me, ‘it’s a competition with yourself. If you’re tired, fight it, if you’re stressed, fight it'. I also don’t praise myself enough, I just focus on the wrong. But then he’ll say to me, ‘Yeah, but you just did that…’”

As his arm was tightly wrapped around his partner, Vito told The Sun they both jumped for joy when they found out they would be working together. He gushed: "We ran to each other like a slow-mo running like in the movie, I was so happy. We jump, well, she jumped on me, and we twisted and we make the first lift of our Strictly journey already."
The young actress has already explained how she is very close to Vito, and comfortable letting all her emotions out around him. "The physical closeness is weird," she said. "They say when you dance, two people become like one. It does help to be an actor. But poor Vito, because I’ve been sweating, I’ve been crying… I’ll cry at anything – if I’m happy, I cry, if I’m sad, I cry, if I’m excited, I cry, if I’m angry, I cry. So whether it’s tears or sweat, he’s going to end up soaked.”
But, with their cute and untied front on screen, fans believed that the so-called Strictly 'curse' would hit the couple. On This Morning last month, the couple were on the show talking about how much they're enjoying the star-studded series on BBC One.
After spotting the couple's undeniable chemistry, several viewers took to Twitter to comment on whether the Strictly 'curse' - which has seen several celebrities hooking up with their dance partners on the show - had struck again. One said: "They look very cosy." Another wrote: "They are incredibly close, his arm around Ellie. Reckon the Strictly curse is working its magic." While a third mused: "I wonder why they are sitting so close together...."

When the elated couple were voted through to the next stage of the competition, Vito shared a snap of the pair with the caption: "To you my Lulú.. I am so proud of you and you know how much I believe in you so just keep going and keep working hard as you are already doing every day. You are doing great baby. Have a good rest tonight and make sure you eat properly. See you tomorrow for another beautiful day together."
After the pair went through to the next round a few weeks ago, Ellie posted a sweet photo of herself and Vito competing on the show, thanking everyone who had voted for them. Lots of Ellie's famous pals commented on the post, but it was Amanda's reaction which got tongues wagging. Writing under the picture of the pair, she said: "Stunning. So proud of the both of you. You are the most beautiful couple!," with the comment being liked by hundreds of people.
