Joe Sugg is clearly very proud of girlfriend Dianne Buswell as he sent her a message this morning ahead of tonight's Strictly Come Dancing final.

The 32-year-old YouTuber, who met Dianne while he took part in the BBC show in 2018, gushed that he "couldn't be more proud" and that watching her dance with EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier had been an "absolute joy". He went on to praise Dianne for turning Bobby into a "proper dancer". Bobby and Dianne will by dancing for the Glitterball tonight as they compete against Coronation Street Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin.

Taking to Instagram, Joe shared a photo of Bobby and Dianne standing in front of the Glitterball as he wrote: "Couldn't be more proud of @diannebuswell for what she's achieved so far. She's turned @bobbybrazier into a proper dancer and been an absolute joy to watch for the last 3 months. They're so close to that glitterball! final push let's go!!!" Re-sharing the message with a heart and tearful emoji, Dianne responded: "thank you my joseph."

Bobby and Dianne will have to work hard to win the BBC dancing competition tonight after landing in the bottom two during the semi-final with Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe. The couple have been favourite to win for weeks, scoring consistently high thanks to Bobby's improvement, impressive footwork and entertaining stage presence. However, in recent weeks the pair have struggled and their chances of winning have dwindled, with Corrie star Ellie now the clear favourite at 1/8. Trailing much further behind are Layton and Nikita at 9/1 and then Bobby and Dianne at 10/1.

Betfred showbiz specialist, Kayley Cornelius said: “With 1/8 odds, punters now think Ellie Leach and dance partner Vito Coppola are unstoppable – week after week the pair never fail to impress the judges and viewers at home, and there’s no doubting she will definitely bring a fierce competition to the final and ultimately take home the Glitterball trophy. Although, the position for runner up may be a tougher call with Bobby on 10/1 odds to win, and Layton on 8/1 odds to win. Throughout the series, both couples have proved they’re capable of bringing a top-notch performance, so it will be a battle of minute details when crowing the second-place winner.

“While Dianne and Bobby have had a rocky few weeks after finding themselves in the dance-off on numerous occasions, it appears they have upped their game just in time for the final as they scored a near-perfect 38 last weekend, making it their highest score of the series.

“However, Layton and Nikita always seem to be one step ahead of Bobby and Dianne, and as they continue to score higher overall, I would argue they are the stronger dancers. As long as they bring a performance as good as their perfect-scoring Charleston to the final, I have no doubt that they’ll take home the runner-up title.”

For the final, the contestants will perform three dances; one selected by the judges, one chosen by the couple themselves and a third 'showdance'. Bobby and Dianne will be dancing their Romeo & Juliet-inspired Samba to Young Hearts Run Free once again, after the routine earned them a solid 32 from the judges the first time around. As for the Couple’s Choice dance, the talented soap star will be dancing to This Woman’s Work, which was first performed as a tribute to his late mum, Jade Goody. Finally, Bobby's last routine, the showdance, will feature a medley of songs from the La La Land soundtrack.
