Emmerdale's Chloe could turn evil as she follows in footsteps of villainous dad
Jessie Elland has revealed her Emmerdale character could turn evil - and follow in the footsteps of her villainous dad.
Tonight on the ITV soap, we learned that Chloe Harris' father is none other than evil Harry, played by Robert Beck. Harry has been terrorising the likes of Cain Dingle and Caleb Miligan, whilst also kidnapping Chas Dingle under a fake alias, and it looks like he's had a much bigger link to the Dales than anyone else has realised - until now.
Fans have long been suspecting he might be Chloe's father and tonight, it was revealed that he is her dad - and whilst she thinks they cut off contact a long time ago, he has actually been in and around the village for months and causing trouble.
Chloe nearly died after a car crash - with Mackenzie now back with ex Charity (ITV)Desperate and not knowing what to do amid Charity and Mack's reunion, Chloe feels she has no choice but to call her dad - and tonight, viewers learned just who he really is - before the soap airs a big reunion for the pair.
Asked what her relationship with her father is like, Jessie revealed of her character Chloe: "When she gets in contact with him, it's the first time she's been in contact with him for two years. The way it ended with him was him getting one of his henchmen to throw all her stuff out on Main Street, so it's a very complicated thing ...

Harry has been revealed as Chloe's dad Damon Harris"As she's got older, she's started to realise the person who he really is, but even then I don't think she's understood the extent of how bad he is ... She feels so pushed that she's reached out to him, that kind of encapsulates what the relationship is like."
She added: "She has nowhere else to turn to - her last resort is to turn to her dad. It's shown how dire circumstances have got for her. I think moving forward, there is hope that maybe he has changed - she's clinging on, naively, to the hope they can be a little family unit. Now she's got Reuben she thinks that might bring out a different side to him, and that he might change his ways."
When asked if she would like to see Chloe follow in her father's footsteps, she admitted it was a possibility.
"I think it would definitely be really fun to play, and we did get to see a side to Chloe that I don't think we've seen with her before in Super Soap Week. It wasn't anything as drastic as what her dad would have done, but it was still something quite drastic for the character. She's never done anything like that before, so who knows, maybe there is potential," she added.
"I think when I first joined where I had to say something to Kerry like, I'm actually more like my dad than I think. So you never know, maybe there's something latent in there that might come out at some point."
