Puzzles are a great way to train your brain, as it's important to keep it just as flexible as you keep your physical body.
If you're on the hunt for a Christmas maths question to test your intelligence, then we've got just the thing that will have you scratching your head and sending it to the family WhatsApp group for a bit of guidance to see if anyone else on the chat can answer it.
According to the website Brain Fans, it's a puzzle for "geniuses", so do you reckon you can solve it? The sum shows a teddy bear, Christmas tree, and present, now your task is to work out the final equation.
Can you figure it out? (brainfans.com)The first equation shows bear plus bear plus bear equals 6. This means that each bear must be worth 2. A bear plus a Christmas tree equals 13, meaning that the Christmas tree is worth 11.
Then, it gets slightly trickier when a present is thrown into the mix because the sum is a minus, rather than a plus. So, it's a Christmas tree, which we know is worth 11, minus a present, and this sum comes to four. Of course, the gift must be worth seven in this case, as 11 minus 7 is 4.

So, with all that prior knowledge, can you work out what a teddy bear, plus a Christmas tree, plus a present is worth? Don't overthink it, just answer it quickly and be confident in the knowledge that you're going to get it right after all the sums you've been doing previously. A real genius could most likely solve it in less than 20 seconds.
