EastEnders spoilers see two new arrivals as it leads to a DNA bombshell

EastEnders is set for dramatic scenes in the New Year as two new arrivals descend on Albert Square, which leads to a dramatic DNA bombshell being exposed.

In the upcoming episodes, Elaine Peacock continues to struggle as Cindy Beale tries to insert herself into George Knight's life. Elaine is left further shocked when she catches Cindy asking George if he’s happy with his life choices but as George tries to explain himself, he receives two unexpected visitors – his parents Gloria and Eddie.

The next day, Elaine is left even more concerned due to George's reaction to his parents arriving but he refuses to open up. Meanwhile, over at the Beale household, Cindy reveals to Ian Beale that George was adopted. Gloria is delighted to be reunited with her granddaughters, Gina and Anna. However, it's tense between Eddie and his eldest granddaughter. What's happened and can they move past it?

Yet the drama is far from over as later, Gloria reveals a shocking truth to George. The next day, George wakes having spent the night on the sofa and lies to Elaine so he can sneak off to meet Cindy. At a café, George reveals all to Cindy about his adoption. The pair attempt to find out more information but they are shocked by what they find.

Later, Elaine consoles a broken George who finally reveals all and breaks down in her arms. In an attempt to get some much needed answers, George invites Gloria and Eddie for dinner. And despite things getting off to a good start, it soon descends into chaos when Eddie’s rude comments to Gina rile Cindy. Later, George and Gloria have a heart-to-heart as Gloria shares some invaluable insight into his heritage.

James Bond star Colin Salmon, who is best known for his role as MI6 deputy chief of staff Charles Robinson in three Bond films, plays "tough-talking and fiercely protective" father-of-two George, who joined the BBC One soap earlier this year. Colin said at the time of joining the iconic soap: "I’m thrilled to be joining the cast of EastEnders to take on the role of George Knight. I’m excited to explore the character of George, a true East End gentleman having been born in the East End myself. I have a great affinity and love for the show and I look forward to being part of the great legacy."
