Jake Paul makes worrying "don't care" admission about Andre August fight
Internet star Jake Paul has revealed his apathy towards his upcoming fight against Andre August as he looks to continue his return to form in his next bout.
The YouTube sensation, who has previously defeated MMA fighters Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Nate Diaz in the ring, faces a tough challenge in his next bout. Despite having a record of 7-1, excluding an amateur contest in 2018, Paul's most recent fight against a professional boxer ended in defeat by Tommy Fury on a split decision.
Now, the 26 year old is looking to bounce back as he takes on August at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando on Friday. Facing August, who boasts a record of 10-1 and is currently on a five-fight unbeaten run, will be a major test for 'the Problem Child'.
However, despite losing to Fury in Saudi Arabia in February, it seems Paul isn't interested in a war of words before his next bout. In a recent episode of 'BS w/ Jake Paul ', the YouTuber seemed uninterested in promoting the fight against August as he predicted that he will emerge victorious.

He confessed: "I don't know why they want me to keep on promoting this f****** fight, I don't care, with his co-host left a bit surprised by his statement, quickly adding: "He's fighting on December 15."
Paul then clarified his comments by revealing his motivations for facing August, saying: "I don't care, this is literally just so I can get experience. I'm wearing the same outfit as my last fight, I'm just showing up and knocking this guy the f*** out. We don't need to promote this s***."
Wanting more insight into Paul's approach to his next fight, his co-host asked: "But it's the road to what? Becoming a world champion, you can't just throw that off to the side," before the YouTuber quickly responded by issuing a blunt response, saying: "I am a world champion."

I possess the talent, hard work, skill set, all the attributes of a world champion, so I am that already and I'm willing and manifesting the rest into existence to become the world champion."
Paul is not losing interest in his adopted career, however, and has previously seemingly set his sights on a fight with undisputed super-middleweight world champion Canelo Alvarez. That said, the Mexican has already spoken of his reluctance to agree to a bout with the viral sensation in the past.
Speaking to Mirror Fighting, he said: "My level is another level. I think he needs to enjoy what he's doing and that's it. He needs to calm down and stop calling out people with other levels," he cautioned, offering the YouTuber some advice: "I think he needs to focus on what he's doing, he's doing good things."
