Tyson Fury has been criticised for "playing around" instead of preparing to fight bitter rival Oleksandr Usyk.

Heavyweight champion Fury and Usyk will fight on February 17 in Saudi Arabia to crown the first undisputed champion in their weight division since 1999. Their clash was supposed to take place on December 23 but it was pushed back after Fury sustained an unexpected amount of damage in his controversial crossover fight against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou,

Saudi advisor Turki Al-Sheikh recently posted a video of Fury enjoying himself by taking part in a day of water sports. The Brit flexed his muscles whilst standing on top of an inflatable water slide in the sea before he parasailed with a big smile on his face. The video didn't sit well with Usyk's promoter Egis Klismas as he wrote: "When one is playing around another training hard. We will see you February 17."

One fan told Klismas he is clutching at straws by replying: "The fight is 10 weeks away calm down and tell Usyk not to leave it all in the gym. Fury needs seven to eight weeks of hard training and he will be ready." A second user then agreed by adding: "Fury only needs five weeks for Usyk."

Fury's dad John previously dismissed any chance of Usyk beating his son but has recently changed his prediction. The 59-year-old was critical of Fury's sluggish performance against Ngannou but is confident that his son will have a better training camp for his upcoming fight against Usyk.

“I’m going to say it first. Whoever puts the best camp in and does the work will get it and deserve it. If Usyk puts a better camp in that Tyson, he works his a** off, he gets everything right, the better man will win. It’s up to both guys what they want out of this. Tyson knows he needs an 180 degree turnaround. If he’s not prepared to do that, good luck to Usyk," he told the Daily Mail.

"Tyson will have the eye of the tiger back for this one, he'll need to change everything round. He'll need to do everything different and gain some solid muscle and put some work in - crack his balls working and when he does that, Usyk's going to have a problem. He won't be facing this negative Tyson that you saw with a s*** game plan."
