As the temperature outside drops during the winter and clashes with the warm air in our homes, it's normal for condensation to form on windows - and this can eventually turn into mould.

Mould is not only unsightly and can lead to damage to our properties, but it can also wreak havoc on our health - especially for those with respiratory problems. So while it's very normal for condensation to occur during the winter, it's essential to meet the problem head-on so you can stop it turning into black mould.

Luckily, there are many things you can do, from making sure to wipe the condensation away as soon as it forms with a squeegee to forking out a small fortune for dehumidifiers - but one woman has found that the answer to her problems is a nifty £8 device.

After becoming frustrated with the condensation build-up in her home, one savvy cleaner took to the Mrs Hinch Army Facebook page to share how she finally banished it. She explained: "I was recommended this Unibond 360 Moisture Absorber to deal with window condensation which was driving me mad. The blue bit of wall you can see behind kept going black and the windows would be dripping every morning.

"I've had this for two weeks now, and oh my gosh, what a difference! Not a single drop of water on the windows, no black mildew or mould, just one container full of blue liquid. Anyone having an issue with window condensation, I'd highly recommend these! I've got one in every room now."

And she wasn't the only one who was raving about the moisture absorber, which is a simple solution to absorbing excess moisture and neutralising bad smells in your home. Another commented: "We had exactly the same problem and bought one of these too. The difference is unreal!"

A second person added: "These are amazing! Got two in our bathroom because it's so bloody big and it works fantastic," while someone else added: "I've got a similar one from Robert Dyas, and yes they they really do work."

However, some group members pointed to the fact that the blue liquid can stain badly if it leaks, so it's important to be aware before you put it on any surfaces. You can currently pick up a Unibond 360 Moisture Absorber from Amazon for £6.49 of B&Q for £10.
