The arrival of the festive season means Celebrations tins, chocolate coins and advent calendars - but it turns out it's also worth a trip to Aldi when stocking up for Christmas.

With so many things on offer at the supermarkets, from chocolate Santas to decadent truffles, it can be hard to know where your money is well spent. In December, there's chocolate everywhere - but one food reviewer has insisted it's worth a trip to Aldi for their new festive offerings.

Taking to TikTok, food reviewer @bigdaddybsfoods shared a video where he rated the new Marshmallows Brownie Bombs and Cookie Dough Mini Bites from Aldi - and he couldn't speak highly enough of them. He explained: "Let me tell you, these things are divine.

"The creamy chocolate outer coat keeps the brownie super moist, and it's a rich, dense brownie. So, so good." Rating them, he gave them a 9.5 out of 10, and shared that they cost £1.99 for six.

He continued: "I know a lot of people will say that's steep, but one of these in Starbucks with a stick in it will set you back about £2.60 each. So in comparison, it's not bad value."

Then he moved onto the Cookie Dough Mini Bites, which he explained were "half brownie, half cookie dough, covered in good quality chocolate". Sharing his thoughts, he explained: "These absolutely banged. Very indulgent and really impressed with the quality of the cookie inside".

However, while he said he "really enjoyed them", they weren't as good as the Brownie Bombs, so he gave them a "solid nine out of 10". Concluding, he said: "I think these are both well worthwhile. If you love your brownies, your cookie dough, sweet treats, that kind of thing, these are gonna be right up your street. So go on, treat yourself, don't cheat yourself."

The video racked up over 324,000 views, and many couldn't wait to get their hands on them. One person wrote: "Omggg my kinds treats can't wait to try these [sic]." Another added: "Soo good!" and a third commented: "Thought they would be a let down but they are so yummy!"
