Strictly Come Dancing star Bobby Brazier has reportedly 'banned' a family member from watching him perform on the BBC show.

This year, the talented EastEnders star, 20, is partnered with professional dancer Dianne Buswell. The dance couple will be fighting for a place in the competition on Saturday, December 9, where they will perform two routines in hopes of landing in the final next week. The pair will take to the ballroom dance floor to impress the judges and viewers at home with a Quickstep to Mack The Knife by Bobby Darin and Paso Doble to Run Boy Run by Woodkid.

Friends and family of Bobby Brazier will no doubt be in the audience to support him during Semi-Final week. However, reports claim his grandmother Jackiey Budden isn't 'allowed' to watch Bobby perform while being seated in the crowd - even if he gets to the final. While Bobby's dad, Jeff Brazier has been proudly watching his son from a close distance, Jade Goody's mum Jackiey has missed out on the same experience.

A source now suggests there is a long-running feud between both sides of Bobby's family. They told The Sun: "There is a lot of friction between the Brazier side of the family and Jackiey for several long-standing reasons.

"But viewers have been surprised not to see Jackiey in the Strictly audience as she is Bobby’s grandmother. The prospect she is now facing is either not getting to see Bobby before he exits the semi-final, or not being allowed to watch him in person if he makes it to the final and wins the glitterball."

In August, Jackiey said she was a proud gran after Bobby was announced as one of the celebrities taking part in the show this year. According to reports, the pair have a close relationship, with the actor often taking time out of his busy acting schedule to text Jackiey. She said: "He has to get up at 5am for EastEnders sometimes, so he’s always on the go. We always text though which is lovely. He likes to keep an eye on his nana, just like Freddie does," revealed the grandmother.

Recently, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell revealed they were left "gutted" over a blunder during their dance last weekend. Dianne has spoken out about her failed lift with the actor after they performed a Dirty Dancing-inspired routine.

"Gutted the LIFT didn’t go to plan like it had in most rehearsals, but I do have to say we took a risk and didn’t play it safe," the 34-year-old choreographer wrote on Instagram after Sunday's results show. "That dance was hard and so iconic that, of course, there was pressure to do it justice, and the feeling of just not quite getting it was a bit low for us.

"HOWEVER Bobby wanted to challenge himself and so did I and that is success and growth in itself.. let’s focus on the amazing parts of the dance the fact Bobby was leading me around the floor his hips foot work expression and just overall improvement for a guy who started dancing only 11 weeks ago is incredible! your strength your movement has improved so so much and I’m sure so many people agree" ending on a positive note.
