One young couple’s video bragging about the freedom of their childfree life had led to a multitude of flashbacks on social media labelling the couple smug “losers.”
The Utah pair said they lead a DINK lifestyle meaning “Dual Income, No Kids”. Lilly Anne and her husband Evan are both 21, and posted a TikTok listing all the things “DINKS” can do that those with children cannot, such as buying “all the snacks in Costco in bulk… that we want.” The TikTok which now has over 4.8 million views and over 260,000 likes has done the rounds on social media, with many telling the couple their one-upping is not a good look.
In the video the couple ping pong back and forth the benefits of their child-free lifestyle: “We're DINKs, we are going to get asked daily when we plan on having kids. We're DINKs, of course, we are going to go out to eat every night after work. We're DINKs, we don’t have to ask our family for financial help or watch our kids when we go out.

Lilly did list one downside, saying: “We’re DINKs, we’re gonna get asked at the end of every family gathering what we’re doing with our life.”

People took to the comments section to air their grievances: “Y’all sound like the losers that didn’t get invited to the party and act like they don’t want to go,' commented another person.” Another added, “You can still do all that with kids,' added someone else.” One user said: “The best feeling in the world is seeing my kids run up to greet me at the door after a hard day of work and see nothing but love in their eyes.”

One comment showed that people could both enjoy their different lifestyles, with Kenzie commenting: “I truly have no idea what I’d do with my free time without my daughter. I love hanging out with her!” Lilly replied: “I’m so happy for you!! That’s awesome!” Other comments seem to focus more on Evan’s wife, congratulating him on pulling off “the heist of the century” for being with her. Another said “Good for you dude. Good for you. Punching way above.”
