Discussing her experience with weight loss prior to taking Ozempic, she commented: "I've always been anything up to 40 or 50lbs overweight." Sharon said that she would "lose it" and then "put it back on" within a few months, describing the "back and forth" as having been "frustrating."

And during the interview with Woman magazine, Sharon went on to speculate that "so many people have gone on Ozempic". She suggested that she's "being honest about it," before confirming that she's no longer taking it.
Asked if she was still taking it, Sharon said that she hadn't been on it for around four months. She said her weight has "stabilised," adding that she went down to about 97lbs - under seven stone - and suggested it was concerning. She said: "I needed to put some weight back on, which I have."
Ozempic is a brand of semaglutide, which is said to mimic a hormone related to appetite regulation. It's advertised as a way to improve blood sugar levels. Although it may lead to weight loss, the brand states it's "not a weight loss drug".
Its website states: "[The once-weekly prescription] along with diet and exercise, lowers blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes." It adds: "[It can] reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, or death in adults with type 2 diabetes with known heart disease."
Its website also lists possible side effects, stating that the most common examples may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain and constipation. It notes that serious side effects may include possible thyroid tumors.
