BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent was noticeably absent from the programme after landing herself a spot on another huge show.
The morning news show tends to be hosted by Jon Kay and Sally at the start of the week, but the latter was no where to be seen on Monday morning. Viewers were confused to instead be greeted by stand-in host Sarah Campbell.
Neither of the hosts addressed where Sally was instead of presenting the programme. Sally wasn't at her usual job as it was recently announced that she is set to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.
She is due to appear on the Christmas special version of the popular BBC dancing competition. The mum-of-one has been paired up with professional dancer Graziano Di Prima for the one-off special.
Sally is joining the Strictly cast (BBC/James Stack)Previously speaking about about joining the show, Sally said: "I am thrilled and slightly terrified to be taking part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special. I'm hoping the judges will be kind - and filled with Christmas spirit. And I hope everyone watching at home will enjoy a little bit of Strictly magic on Christmas night."
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tour
Talking about going on the show when on BBC Breakfast, she told co-host Jon Kay: "It's hard! I'm really not a dancer so to learn a dance in quite a short space of time is tough."
Sally has previously spoke about the real reason for joining the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special after going through personal woes. The 52-year-old was one of the first three celebrity faces that were announced to be joining the 2023 special programme.
The sign up came after she opened up about her marriage breakdown. Sally has had a difficult last few months, after she announced her marriage split from husband Gavin Hawthorn in May. The pair were married for 13 years and have a teenage son together.
Before deciding to go their separate ways, the presenter has always kept details of her life behind the camera very private with the star never actually confirming her partner's name.
A source told the Daily Mail at the time: "It's very sad but they are no longer together. I think they tried to tough it out for quite a while as they didn't want to split up if they could possibly help it for the sake of their son but they clearly couldn't make a go of it.
"They've both been very guarded about the reasons behind their growing apart but it's been plain for a while that they had been and now it's obvious that they haven't been able to resolve that despite clearly trying for some time."
Other stars such as Dan Snow, Jamie Borthwick, Tillie Armatey, Danny Cipriani and Keisha Buchanan are due to join Sally on the Christmas Strictly dancefloor.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
