Strictly Come Dancing viewers were quick to complain minutes into Sunday's results show as they fumed "What's the point".
The hit BBC One dance competition was thrown into chaos this weekend when Nigel Harman quit just hours before the live show. A BBC spokesperson confirmed his exit on Saturday, saying: "Unfortunately Nigel has sustained an injury which means he is unable to perform in tonight’s show and has had to withdraw from Strictly."
As such, hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman revealed that there would be no public vote and no elimination this weekend in a shock twist. They announced: "We only have four couples unfortunately Nigel has sustained an injury which means he's unable to perform on tonight's show and he's had to withdraw from the competition.

One person said: "What is the point of having a results show this week ? #Strictly #SCD #StrictlyComeDancing" while a different account said: "What is the point of tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing results program when no one is being eliminated and there’s no dance off? #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly."

While another fan said: "tonight's episode is very pointless, but am I still gonna watch? Sure #Strictly", a different account put: "Possibly the most pointless Sunday night episode ever of Strictly Come Dancing!… #Strictly #SCD #strictlycomedancing" while another added: "apart from the pro dance and the musical guest act this result show is pointless #strictly."

However, despite no elimination this weekend, it hasn't stopped fans from predicting who could go next week ahead of the final. The remaining couples are Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, and Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin.
Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: "Next week will be interesting but an Annabel & Bobby bottom 2 would feel right, but I’d want to see Bobby in the final."
A different account put: "No #Strictly result to predict tonight so I'll predict early that Layton, Ellie and Annabel will be the finalists. Could easily also be Bobby though" while another show watcher wrote: "i wasnt sure before nigel left but now im 90% sure that the final will be bobby, ellie & layton #strictly."
