The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are said to be keen to build bridges with King Charles III and the British Royal Family, with them reported to have been eyeing up an invitation to Sandringham for Christmas last month.
In mid-November, Prince Harry and his father King Charles shared a "warm" phone call for the Monarch's birthday, which was said to be "polite". The chat even saw the King even "exchange awkward pleasantries" with Meghan.
Following on from the pleasantries shared over the phone, an insider told The Times: "I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays."

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reside in Montecito with their son Archie and daughter LilibetBut now it seems a Royal reunion is not on the cards, with Royal expert Jennie Bond revealing she doesn't see them getting an invite. Speaking to OK! Magazine, Jennie said: "So I don't think they will be invited for Christmas."

Which came after she spoke of how she personally "can't see" the King could invite the Sussexes "without causing major disruption and upsetting William and Kate". She then noted that should that happen, the Waleses would "presumably refuse to attend".
But although she doesn't think Harry and Meghan will fly over from California to the UK for the festive season, she does think they could do so in the "coming year". Speculating what the couple's Californian Christmas might be like, Jennie noted that the Duchess of Sussex is estranged from most of her US family, but expects her doting mother Doria to be in attendance.
This comes after relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd Louella Alderson spoke to us about the potential plans of the Sussexes for the holidays. She said: "Even though Harry won't be spending Christmas with the UK this year, he will most likely still have a loving and supportive community to celebrate with.
"They'll also have the opportunity to create new holiday traditions with their children and their American family members, which can bring excitement and joy to the festivities."
