Meghan Markle is said to have made a rather shocking move to raise her Hollywood profile, with Endgame author Omid Scobie making the revelation.
It has been claimed that the Duchess of Sussex, 42, took her publicist on a tour of a US magazine office while she was an aspiring actress before marrying into the British Royal Family. The actress-turned-Duchess was best known for starring in the cable television series Suits as Rachel Zane from 2011 to 2018.
But, while she was still aspiring to make it big in Hollywood, Meghan took her publicist to the Us Weekly offices in a bid to seemingly raise her profile and get her name out there. She is claimed to have visited the offices a year before she and Harry went public with their romance.

He has also claimed Meghan visiting the magazine offices where he worked gave him a rare advantage.

Back in 2016 – following the news breaking around the world that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were in a relationship – Scobie appeared on the James O’Brien podcast Full Disclosure. Speaking to the host, Scobie said: "Suits was a huge thing for our magazine.
"Funnily enough a year or two earlier – I wasn’t in the office at the time – Meghan’s agent or publicist had brought her in to just meet editors and see if there was something to do. She was very much on the radar, even if she wasn’t up there with the big-name celebrities."
He then revealed how Meghan's visit gave him an advantage when reporting on the couple's romance. "We really had a lead. I had the lead in covering the early days of this relationship, and when I left the magazine they were my focus for this [royal] beat," he revealed.
Scobie then touched on how his and Meghan's early connection allowed the couple to trust him, with him claiming that they knew he could be sympathetic to Meghan's situation as a mixed-race person marrying into the British Royal Family. "She had picked the people she wanted to cover it. I was able to be the one that provided the different perspective. I was known as the safe face at least," he added.
However, Omid recently denied being friends with the Duchess of Sussex. The writer appeared in court earlier this year, where he testified during Prince Harry's hearing against a British group of newspapers in the High Court in London. Scobie insisted to the court that he does not have a personal relationship with either Harry or Meghan.
He claimed he had never socialised with the prince after being probed on whether he had a "vested interest" in representing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a good light in a bid to get ahead with his career. He insisted: "I don't have a close relationship [with the Duke and Duchess] personally."
