Britney Spears cuddles mum Lynne in emotional birthday reunion after family feud

Britney Spears and her family seemed to put their differences behind them to celebrate the singer's birthday.

Cade Hudson, Britney's manager, shared a black and white snap of Britney, her mum Lynne, and her brother Bryan on his Instagram Story. "Happy birthday @britneyspears," he captioned the photo and added three red heart emojis.

The Gimmie More singer stood between her brother and her mum in the photo. Bryan, 46, smiled at the camera wearing a dark-coloured shirt, jacket, and newsboy cap. Lynne, 68, had her arms wrapped around her eldest daughter, resting her head against Britney's.

Britney smiled at the camera in what seemed to be a strapless black shirt and dark-coloured sunglasses. The pop princess turned 42 on Saturday, and it seems she's mending her relationship with her mum.

Lynne's friend shared another snap on social media of the mother and daughter celebrating together as they cuddled together on a sofa. The friend captioned the photo: "Happy birthday to you @britneyspears I am so happy you and your Momma are together at last here's to healing and a life of happiness, freedom and bonds that will never be broken!"

A source told TMZ: "Lynne and Britney are definitely in a better place.” After attending the party, Lynne spent the night at her daughter's house.

"They were two peas in a pod," the insider said about the two at the birthday bash. Lynne and Britney were estranged over the years of her conservatorship, which was controlled by her father Jamie Spears.

In Britney's memoir which came out months ago, Britney didn't hold back sharing negative things about her mother. The Toxic singer wrote in her book that after Britney came home from her time at a mental health facility in 2019, she found her mum put her diaries and childhood dolls "in the trash," though Lynne said this never happened.

While Britney seems to have reunited with her mother and brother, she's still estranged from her father and younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney also hasn't seen her two children, Sean and Preston, in over a year since they live in Hawaii with their father Kevin Federline.

Jamie Lynn has recently been on a string of reality television shows around the world. She first appeared on Dancing With The Stars in America, and most recently on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
