Prince Harry's relationship with Royals might 'never be the same', expert says

Prince Harry's relationship with the Royal Family may never be the same as tensions continue to rise among them.

The Duke of Sussex has been urged to prepare himself for the possibility that things might not return to how they were, even if a reconciliation does occur. Previously, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were close with King Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate before quitting their senior roles in 2020, but tensions have gone from bad to worse in recent months following Harry's shocking claims about his family in his memoir, Spare.

There were talks of a reconciliation amongst the family after Harry and Charles shared a sweet phone call for the King's 75th birthday. His Majesty is understood to have had a friendly and cordial chat with his boy during the transatlantic chat.

It was the first time the father and son had spoken to each other since April, shortly before Charles was coronated King. Charles is reportedly still open to hearing from Harry, his "dear boy".

There is an open invite for the pair to meet whenever Harry's in the UK, it has been reported and during the call, the trio (Harry, Charles and Meghan) made plans to talk again soon, the Sun reports.

However, PR Strategist Laura Perkes has exclusively told us that Harry's relationship with his father "may never be the same, and that's something he needs to live with." She said: "As the instigator of all the turmoil that has resulted in him and Meghan being ostracised by the family, it's not as easy as saying sorry and hoping to brush it all under the carpet."

"Old wounds have been reopened, new wounds have appeared and many people have been hurt, either directly or in the crossfire. He made the decision to share his truth, but his truth isn't always the absolute truth," Laura added. "Many people feel betrayed by him and that's not easily forgivable."

"Time is a great healer, so it may be that he needs to let the dust settle and focus on other aspects of his life. Over time, reconciliation may happen, once all parties involved are ready to do so, but the relationship will never be the same again, and that's something he needs to live with," she concluded.
