Piers Morgan has made his first appearance since sharing the names of two royals who were accused of making alleged racist comments.

The outspoken television presenter was left enraged when a copy of Meghan Markle's pal Omid Scobie went on sale and appeared to name the two royals. Piers, 58, was baffled that the British media decided against sharing the names after Scobie claimed he didn't include them in the copy of his book which was translated into Dutch.

Scobie, who has previously been branded Meghan's "mouthpiece" vehemently denies including the two names – although this has been challenged by his translator. Saskia Peeters claimed she did not add the names to the Dutch version of the book.During an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, the outspoken star decided to share the two alleged identities.

While naming them, Piers stated he believed that no "racist comments were ever made by any of the Royal Family." Following an appearance on This Morning, during which, Scobie stated he wasn't friends with Meghan, Piers has since hit out.

The broadcaster fumed: "He's a liar, and I'll tell you how I know he's a liar because he writes a bit about me in the book. Up I come three or four times. On one occasion he states as a fact that I had regular phone conversations with Queen Camilla. For the record, I have never had a single phone conversation with Queen Camilla. Now he says as a fact in this book, that we had regular phone conversations, that, I personally know, is an absolute lie."

Piers continued: "He [Omid] also says that when I said on Good Morning Britain that Meghan Markle was Princess Pinocchio on air, that apparently she reached out to me – Queen Camilla – to thank me for standing up for The Firm. I had zero contact with Queen Camilla around that time at all… Nothing. Nothing. I did however, as I said publicly at the time, have conversations with several other members of the Royal Family and it wasn't Queen Camilla. So I know personally, just from the little bits about me – are completely untrue. They are lies. So why should I believe any of this stuff?"

Scobie denied including the names in his original manuscript, so how they appeared in the Dutch version appears to be a mystery. It has since been pulled from shelves in the country while the 'editing error' is investigated. Speaking to Dutch chat show RTL Boulevard earlier this week, Omid said: "The book is in several languages, and unfortunately I do not speak Dutch. But if there are translation errors, I'm sure the publishers will have it under control. I wrote and edited the English version. There's never been a version that I've produced that has names in it."

It's understood that aides at Buckingham Palace are "considering all options" including possible legal action against the publication. In the UK edition of Endgame, Scobie, who previously had help to write Finding Freedom from Meghan said he knew the names but legal restrictions prevented him from publishing them.

When the Sussexes made their explosive allegations on Oprah, in an interview broadcast around the world, they set in train a public debate about who in the royal family might harbour such racially charged views. In a multicultural modern Britain such allegations against the monarchy generated debate on a matter of such public importance with Scobie's new book claiming to add to that public debate.
