If you own a Galaxy S23 then look away now. Rumours are rife that a brand new smartphone is coming out of the Korean's firms HQ and it seems this launch could arrive sooner rather than later. It's already been suggested that Samsung is bringing forward the arrival of its next flagship from February to January and now more data has surfaced which could back up that claim.

As spotted by the team at SamMobile, a device with the name Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has just been cleared by the NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) in Thailand.

All countries across the globe put devices through vital tests before they are allowed to be sold and this latest update clearly reveals a new Galaxy is now out in the wild and ready to arrive in the pockets of consumers.

If Samsung is going to reveal an S24 range in January then it's likely that invites to one of the firm's famous Unpacked events will be sent out to media in the coming weeks.

It's here the world will find out exactly what Samsung has in store for this latest and greatest device but there are already some early hints.

Firstly, it seems likely that at least some of the S24 range (most likely the Ultra) will be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. That will make these devices much more powerful and extra efficient for improved battery life. There are also other benefits of this chip including top-level gaming, better photography and videos plus smarter AI.

Along with some extra oomph under the hood, we could well see a new design with additional colours added.

Leaks have also revealed that Samsung could update the display on the Ultra model of its S24 with it ditching the curved screen and switching to a more flat panel instead.

The brightness could also be boosted to new levels making it easier to read messages and emails out in the midday sun.

Like most upgrades, it's almost certain we will see faster charging and quicker Wi-FI speeds.

Hopefully, Samsung will announce a full launch date very soon and as soon as we hear more will let you know.
