Earlier this year there were a number of rumours that Prince Harry was taking 'escape' nights away from his family home, leaving Meghan Markle, Archie and Lilibet behind. The whispers suggested he had a room "set aside" at the San Vicente Bungalows for a break from his Montecito home in Southern California.

However, royal author Omid Scobie has now dismissed these claims as "not true". He said: "I know a lot of people that know them (Harry and Meghan), that are in their world, or their space, and I've just never come across anything of the sort." Scobie added that the couple have a "massive guesthouse" on their property, saying: "If you wanted to spend a night away, you don't have to go as far as some janky hotel in Montecito town centre."

Previously, when asked about the rumoured property, a representative simply stated: "That is not true". Scobie's new book seems to name the senior member of the firm who allegedly made shocking 'racist' comments about Harry and Meghan's son Archie.

In his new book 'Endgame', released globally today, royal writer Omid Scobie claims that two royals made inappropriate comments about the skin colour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's unborn son, Archie. This follows the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's shocking 2021 revelation to Oprah Winfrey, where they accused an unnamed senior Royal of expressing "concern" over their child's complexion.

Scobie, often seen as a friend of the Sussexes after his previous biography 'Finding Freedom', mentioned in recent interviews that UK law stops him from disclosing the names of the royals mentioned in Meghan's private letters to King Charles. A page from a review copy of the book sent to Dutch journalists seems to reveal the identity of the Royal who allegedly made the comments.

The Dutch version of the book, referring to the letters between Meghan and the King discussing the issue, reads: "But in those private letters and identity was revealed and confirmed." The Mirror has decided not to publish the name of the person in question.

A Dutch journalist, who noticed the controversial passage, posted on his X (formerly Twitter ) account: "NL (Netherlands) version 'Endgame' must be withdrawn from sale, says Dutch publisher at request of the US agent. "A number of passages have sparked debate, may not have been accurately presented. This seems to concern also the accusation against XXX (name redacted), about Archie's skin colour ."
