Everyone cleans their homes in different ways. Some like to pick one room at a time, while others go the whole hog and blitz everywhere all at once. Tidying up can be very therapeutic and satisfying - it’s no wonder there are so many social media channels and influencers dedicated to the topic.

TikTok user Georgia, who regularly shares videos on her accounts with tips, hacks, and inspirational content, recently posted a clip about cleaning her carpets. Revealing she was going to be deep-cleaning a different room in her house every day, she added that she would be starting with the dirtiest but most satisfying job - washing the carpets on the stairs.

She explained how she prepared the area by vacuuming it first to get all the initial dirt off, she then used a hand-held scraper to pick up all the ground in fluff, dust, and hair. Then it was time to use the carpet cleaner.

Thrilled with the results, she proudly showed off how different the colour of the carpet was before and after she had wet cleaned it. She added: “There were so many stains on it I didn’t even know were there.”

Revealing the disgusting colour of the water, Georgia then proceeded to pour the filthy mixture into the bath. After watching her video, many people were quick to share their thoughts on her cleaning method.

One comment, which has over 14,000 likes reads: “Pour it down the toiletttttttt.” And someone else added: “Just a tip that I’ve started instead of pouring dirty water like that down the drain pour it down the toilet so it can just flush away.”

Another viewer penned: “Hair easily gets stuck in drains like your shower and sink, that's why you need to unclog those drains more often. your toilet has to flush down more.” And a fourth viewer added: “you aren’t putting your a** in the toilet water but you are in the tub. even if you bleach it still nasty. Yk? This will clog your drains.”
