Meghan Markle's "mouthpiece" Omid Scobie has admitted he was briefed by the Sussexes team for his new tell-all book.
The royal author has finally released his explosive new book Endgame, which gives an insight into Prince Harry and Meghan's time in the Royal Family. Endgame has been described as a book that will "have the world talking" as Omid reveals moments the Royals should be "ashamed of".
The journalist has previously insisted he doesn't have a relationship with Meghan and that the pair instead share "mutual friends". During a new interview about his book, Omid has now revealed exactly how much input Meghan's team had on the content.

Meghan Markle's team briefed Omid ScobieSpeaking to The Standard, Omid said he doesn't get credit for the "great reporting" he does from his sources. However, he didn't deny that they included briefings from the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes team.

Endgame contains a number of facts that only those close to the Royal Family would know. For example, he details how Harry wasn't contacted by his brother Prince William as the family headed to Scotland in the final hours before the death of Queen Elizabeth III.
When asked if Meghan and Harry were the ones to tell him the personal detail, Omid insisted they weren't. He added: "There's enough people around them and in their orbit who know the ins and outs of things."

Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, he said: "And let's get this nonsense out the way - #ENDGAME is about the current state of the British Royal Family. It's not 'Harry and Meghan’s book', I'm not 'Meg’s pal', the Sussexes have nothing to do with it, their story is a small part of a much bigger one you can read in 12 days."

However, their relationship hasn't always been so distant, with Meghan even said to have reached out to Omid after he was harassed online.
The journalist is said to have received threats on social media, with the Duchess of Sussex personally reaching out to him on his mobile phone to check in on his welfare. The call came about after a member of Meghan's team told her Omid had been dealing with threats and harassment. Details of the phone call were featured in Endgame.
