Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka has conceded the Gunners could be playing a lot better than they currently are, despite being top of the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta's men sit on top of the pile on 30 points, a slender point-advantage on nearest challengers Manchester City. Despite this, Arsenal are yet to convince many that they can go the distance this term and end their two-decade wait for a title, due to a number of close, hard-fought victories.
The Gunners' most recent outing came in the form of a trip to Brentford, which was only won via a last-gasp Kai Havertz header in the 89th minute. Many feel that method of winning is unsustainable in the long run, but Saka has made clear there is plenty more to come from Arsenal this term.
"Each game is different but we know that we can be a lot better," the Gunners star admitted. "We’re especially working on breaking teams down, but we’re still getting really good results and we’re top of the league. So we can be really happy."
Saka also added that Arsenal have hardly had the best of luck when it comes to fitness, claiming: "We have some injured players who are going to be back and at the business end of the season, I really hope we can push on and do really well. We’re top of the league and we’re only going to keep progressing, improving and getting better as a team."

Not everyone shares Saka's theory, with Liverpool legend and Sky Sports regular Jamie Carragher making clear he does not see Arsenal lifting the league title this term. He puts it down to an underperforming attack, with the Gunners notching 27 league goals so far; the fewest of any side in the top four.

Arsenal are yet to find their best form according to Bukayo Saka"We are only a third of the way through the season but if this is the Arsenal we are going to see this season I don't think they can win the league," Carragher declared on Monday Night Football. "So many games are going to the wire and sometimes they can go against you. Those 1-0 wins could easily be 1-0 defeats. There isn't the same pace and fluidity, creating chances and I don't think it is anything tactical.
"I am still seeing the same things from Arsenal. I just think individually the attacking players have been average whereas they were on fire last season. Martinelli, Saka, Jesus and Odegaard, who was up there with Kevin De Bruyne last season. I know he (Odegaard) has had some injury problems but the stats aren't great."
Up next for Arsenal is the visit of Wolves on Saturday, where Arteta's side could do with a convincing win against a side 12 places below them in the league table.
