Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to have some rather idyllic mornings in Montecito, with the couple keen to ditch their staff and be hands-on parents to their two children.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were married in 2018, with them beginning married life in Windsor - the same town where they tied the knot. Welcoming their first child Prince Archie in 2019, the couple then decided to step down from being senior Royals in the months that followed.

In early 2020, it was revealed that the Sussexes would be scaling back on their Royal engagements, with them keen to take a backseat in the Monarchy. And then in the summer of that same year, the couple decided to move across the pond and start a new life in Montecito, California with their son Archie.

Then, in 2021, a year after moving across the Atlantic Ocean, the couple welcomed their second child. Princess Lilibet, the couple's first daughter, was born in June, with the family now officially detached from the Fab Four with the Waleses, and thrown into an all-new Fab Four with their two kids.

Omid Scobie, the co-author of the Sussexes' biography Finding Freedom, has penned a new book about the British Royal Family titled Endgame. The scathing new book, which is described as "a penetrating investigation into the current state of the British monarchy", sees Scobie touch on the Duke and Duchess' new lives in America.

Describing the couple's morning routine in Montecito, Scobie touched on the sun rising over Santa Barbara, the sparkling Pacific Ocean, and the "wealthy enclave of Montecito" in which the couple reside. He noted how as the neighbourhood wakes up, "Meghan already preparing a family breakfast in the kitchen" while Prince Harry is "busy getting the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, ready for nursery school and toddler playgroup, respectively".

Continuing to describe the couple's picture-perfect mornings, Scobie said: "Despite the staff on hand to help during the daytime, when Harry and Meghan shift into work mode, the Sussexes keep their mornings as time 'for the family only'."

He added that a source told him that the couple have "no staff" and are very much "hands-on" as parents. "The pair take turns doing the school drop-offs and pickups every day," he noted, before revealing how the couple get their own days kicked off after tending to their children.

"Once the kids are settled, the couple switch into their own prework morning routines," Scobie revealed, touching on how they both enjoy working out in their fully equipped gym before having a slew of meetings.

Scobie then revealed: "For Harry, working out and staying healthy have become regular parts of his life in California. Sessions with his personal trainer, hikes, bike rides, acupuncture, and ice baths have all become essentials." He then noted that a source said the Duke of Sussex is "in a great place".
