Gaz Beadle 'dad shamed' as ex Emma shares their child care arrangement

Former Geordie Shore star, Gaz Beadle, has been slammed on social media after his ex-wife, Emma McVey, revealed their childcare arrangements.

The former couple, who split in October after eight years together, share Chester, five, and Primrose, three - who Emma, 34, regularly posts adorable photos of on Instagram. However, in her latest post, she opened up about how often she is looking after the children, causing some of her followers to lash out at Gaz, 35.

Captioning a snap of Chester and Primrose making cakes in the kitchen, she said: "The strength these two give me is a strength I never knew I had. Some days are good, some days are really hard. Doing this alone 6 nights a week, trying to heal, trying to work, planning both their birthdays and Christmas in the space of six weeks, the mental load alone seriously sends my head into a fuzz most days."

Fans were quick to respond to the post with many questioning Gaz's involvement in the couple's childcare. One said: "God 6 nights a week... Gary really needs to be there more... he is their father and should share the responsibility." Another wrote: "Hopefully dad will help more nights a week once things more settled and give you some time for yourself to heal." While a third asked: "Don't they have a dad???"

it comes after Emma was forced to defend herself against trolls who accused her taking Gaz's money. Taking to Instagram explaining she was tired of people insinuating she was taking more than her fair share of her famous ex's reported £4.9m fortune, she said: "I have never and will never take money from their dad. I have always paid 50/50 if not more of everything we have. We separated for so so many reasons of which I do not need to air because I wouldn't want the kids growing up with it all over the internet.

"A lot has happened that won't be spoken about, so please do not judge me and think you know my situation. Just because I don't cry on my socials and tell you all doesn't mean I haven't been going through hell."

Gaz, who quit Geordie Shore six years ago, told fans he and Emma had called time on their relationship in October, announcing: “We split three weeks ago. We are still friends, there is no bad blood or anything and we have worked out the best way of doing it for the kids.”

The reality star and former ladies man is now set to make a shock return to Geordie Shore, despite snubbing his former co-stars' pleas for him to come back. A source told The Sun: “In recent years, he just wanted to live a quiet family life outside of the spotlight, but after the recent breakdown of his marriage, he's been doing a lot of thinking and feels ready to rediscover the old Gaz and go back to the show that made him a star."

The Mirror has contacted Gaz's reps for comment on this story.
