Bomb disposal experts have been scrambled to a home after "unknown substances" were discovered inside and five people arrested.
The incident started at around 7am this morning when Cheshire Police carried out a warrant at a home in Knutsford. Officers discovered a number of substances and made five arrests. A 100ft cordon has been put in place as and several homes nearby have been evacuated as investigations continue. A reception centre has also been set up for concerned residents at Knutsford Leisure Centre. Police confirmed five men aged 23, 24, 24, 29 and 58, as well as a 22-year-old woman, were arrested and remain in custody.

At around 7am today, Monday 27 November, Officers from Cheshire Police conducted a warrant in the Longridge area. A number of unknown substances were found in the address and five people have been arrested.
"Fire and ambulance are in attendance at the scene and a 100-metre cordon has been put in place as a precautionary measure. Residents living nearby say fire crews and paramedics are also parked close to the scene.
