Wales police issues update on missing girl, 9, who vanished while walking dog

Police searching for a missing nine-year-old girl who disappeared while walking her pet puppy say she has now been found.

South Wales Police were looking for nine-year-old Brooke who was reported as missing at around 3.30pm this afternoon, in Ferndale, Mid Glamorgan, walking a pocket bully pup. The force has now confirmed the youngster has been found safe and well.

Nearly 70,000 missing children cases are reported each year in the UK, according to the charity Missing People. Anyone who is currently missing or thinking of disappearing is able to contact the charity for confidential support on 116 000.
