Layton Williams made the move earlier last year to becoming a home owner in London.

The West End star has been renovating his property ever since and he's certainly putting his own stamp on it. The 29-year-old bought his house last September and has been keeping his fans updated with how he's been getting on.

So far the star has showed off his pad which features a snug area, colourful wall prints and huge bay windows. The large dining room boasts black bay windows which flood the room with natural light.

Meanwhile, Layton's kitchen is home to multiple wooden shelves covered in decorative vases and plants. There is a red statement light along with a matching bin near.

One of the first places that Layton has renovated is the snug area which he has made a more relaxing area. He has collected pink pillows along with a bright pink sign which says Dancing which is hung up on the wall above.

Layton has made sure to keep original features such as the black fireplaces which he has decorated them with house plants and candles. Above the fireplace he has a big tomato print to add some more colour to the room.

Posting to his Instagram page about the renovated space, Layton said: "I designed this cute lil snug area for some zen. It's the perfect length for me to lay back, pop my feet on the radiator (@bestheatinguk) and chill."

The actor has given a sneak peek into his bedroom after being given a bed by Simba Sleep. He has built his own white wardrobes with shelves alongside to store all of his clothes and accessories.

There is a quirky white light hanging above the bed and a sign above that reads "dancing queen". The renovation comes while Layton is competing on this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing alongside his professional partner Nikita Kuzmin.

The star has gone from strength to strength on the show, quickly becoming a fan favourite and being pipped as one of the potential winners. However, he has come under fire by some viewers of the programme, with them saying he has an unfair advantage due to being a stage star.

Layton and Nikita have since insisted that his stage experience doesn't give him an edge and that they "deserve" to be where they are. Speaking to Manchester Evening News, Layton said: "Layton said: "It's so weird when you're on the top and you want to celebrate, but some people can be so quick to say awful things.

"What would be lovely is for people to stop spreading hate and instead tell their favourites they love them instead. How much nicer would that be? I get that some people don't like me and that's fine, but take that energy and put it to good use, instead."

He added: "I am not perfect and I have so much to learn. When I first started, I didn't even realise that Latin and ballroom were two different things. I don't think I am taking up anyone else's space by being here. Quite frankly, I was asked to be on this show just like everyone else so I deserve to be here and I am working just as hard as everyone else."
