A bride has issued a vial threat to her grandma who accidentally posted her wedding dress on social media. Choosing a special outfit was such a huge deal for the young woman who was thrilled at the thought of getting married and was looking forward to looking for a dress for her big day.

She decided to take her grandma dress shopping and described her as 'her rock' because she has not been in contact with her own mother for ten years Her grandma, who she calls Nana, had never experienced choosing a dress which has become such a huge part of the build-up to modern weddings. Her grandma and the other women present, including her mother-in-law were sworn to secrecy about the dress but each took pictures as the different outfits were put on.

She said on Reddit: "At the appointment, I found three dresses that I fell in love with - my mother-in-law and I cried at it. I thought this is the one and even cried while I was wearing it, my nana and the other ladies who came each took pictures of each dress on their phone, and after the appointment was over I swore each woman to secrecy with the photos they took especially of the top three."

But she was furious at what happened next when she logged into Facebook and found her Nana had changed her profile picture to one of her in a wedding gown. She wrote: "I wake up to Facebook this morning and my Nana's profile picture is changed to me in the dress my mother-in-law cried at. I thought it was the one. I am absolutely crushed by this.

"I immediately commented to take it down, texted and called her. She did not answer a single 1 of 6 calls made to her by me throughout the day. In her trying to take it down she updates her story photo to her old profile picture instead of removing the photo which is still up and my entire family has commented on."

But the responses to the post on Reddit sided with the bride's grandma and were not impressed with her attitude nor responses to her Nana who was probably not aware she had posted the image of her favourite dress. They also criticised the woman's attitude for being disrespectful to her grandma.

One user wrote on Reddit: "Bride needs to chill out! Yes, it’s okay to be upset but clearly grandmother is not technologically skilled enough to know how to do it. Yes definitely needs to help but kicking her out of the wedding and talking to her that way just isn’t right! Maybe grandma should be going no-contact with the bride for being that aggressive with her!"

Other people were not impressed by the girl's language and the treatment of an elderly woman. Another user posted: "Nana is her rock? It's not showing. It's so obviously a mistake. If I saw behaviour like this from a relative I wouldn't be going to that wedding. Jeez. I wouldn't be going if I were the groom either, if that's how she treats her nearest and dearest."

One more user also agreed her gran was not at fault saying: "Once my mom commented on my Facebook status instead of sending me a text. That was weird and I’m sure the woman's grandma is way older. It sucks that the bride sucks. It sounds like an honest (but stupid) mistake. Wedding dresses are amazing but at the end of the day it’s still just a party dress. And people aren’t nearly as excited to see you in in as you think they are."
