You could be tucking into a goldmine when you're enjoying your Celebrations chocolates this Christmas - so keep your eyes peeled.

Celebrations are a staple of Christmas time, and while everyone has their favourites, there's no denying that Bounty is an ever-divisive treat. But Celebrations' parent company Mars have are offering a prize worth around £25,000, and they are hoping it will boost the appeal of the coconut-filled chocolate bar.

So when you tear into a tub of Celebrations this Christmas, keep your eyes peeled for a blue ticket that could be tucked away among the other sweets - because you could be in with a chance of winning a special 9-carat solid gold Bounty.

The gold chocolate bar, which was made by an expert jeweller in London, weighs a whopping 1kg and as it's a one-of-a-kind, it's currently worth an eye-watering £25,000, with the potential of being worth more as the value of gold increases over time. Mars has said this "finely crafted confectionary masterpiece provides a symbol of love for Bounty aficionados and a golden opportunity to cash in for Bounty haters".

But that's not all, as there are also other cash prizes of up to £10,000 to be found. The qualifying Celebrations tubs can only be found at Tesco, where a 600g tub will cost you £5. There are 500,000 opportunities to win, and every ticket-finder is a winner.

To mark the launch of the competition, Mars enlisted Bargain Hunt's Danny Sebastian to star in a spoof daytime antiques film with Mr Bounty. Danny said: "As a Bounty lover myself, it’' been hard to see the treatment the poor coconut choc has received over the years, so I'm glad we’re pushing for #BringHomeTheBounty this time round.

"I've seen lots of valuable items in my time, but this one-of-a-kind golden Bounty bar is up there with the best of them – it's a wonderfully unique, decorative display piece that will dazzle and delight all who look upon it."

Bounty is a very divisive chocolate, with people either loving or hating them. Last year, Celebrations trialled a No Bounty tub of Celebrations. The decision followed a survey that found 39 per cent of Brits supported removing the Bounty and almost one-in-five Brits would feel disappointed to open a Celebrations box and find just Bounty left.

However, they then controversially decided to go in the complete other direction with a Bounty-only box this year. Only 300,000 boxes were available in Tesco stores for a limited time.
