Simple microwave chocolate mug cake recipe tastes 'as good as from the oven'

This individual-sized treat offers a speedy solution for those sudden, sweet cravings or moments when you're after a warm, homemade dessert, but you just can't be bothered to go through the whole baking process. Plus there's next to no washing up!

Self-taught home-baker and content creator Zoha (bakewithzoha) has shared on TikTok a stunning recipe that's really captured the hearts of all would-be bakers out there.
Ingredients

Four tbsps flour
Two tbsps of cocoa powder
Three tbsps of sugar
A third tsp of baking powder
Tiny pinch of salt
Four tbsp milk
One and a half tbsps oil
Milk chocolate chips
Nutella
Method
'I only date men with the same name - it sounds crazy but it works'
Grab a microwave-safe mug and add in four tablespoons of flour, two tablespoons of cocoa powder, three tablespoons of sugar, a third teaspoon of baking powder and a tiny pinch of salt. Mix it all up and make sure there are no lumps.
Next you need to add the wet ingredients - four tablespoons of milk plus the one and a half tablespoons of oil. And just mix everything together.
"And yes, there's no egg in it" laughs Zoha in the TikTok video. The mixture should already be starting to look mega yummy, but now's the time to ramp it up even further by liberally sprinkling some milk chocolate chips into the mixture. Next, take a kitchen towel or cloth and clean the inside of the cup so no thin bits of the mixture overcook when you heat it up.
Then just microwave it for between one and two minutes depending on the power of your machine. Finally, top the mixture off with some Nutella. Tah dah!
