Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly “frustrated” over Kate Middleton and Prince William's popularity in US.
The couple, who stepped down from senior roles in the Royal Family back in January 2020, relocated to America, and signed lucrative deals with streaming giants Netflix and Spotify, with many speculating they were carving out careers in Hollywood.
However, their popularity in the States has decreased dramatically, and their Spotify deal was scrapped earlier this year, leading to the end of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast, which was mauled by critics including a Spotify executive who called them "grifters". Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, was released back in January and it received backlash from some readers, despite selling millions of copies around the world.

“It could have very much gone the other way for William and Kate, and I think they were very concerned about how the American public might respond to these revelations,” she told Bella magazine. However, William’s new image as a statesman, as he travels around the world meeting political leaders and the UN General Assembly, has led to a new army of female fans.

“There will be a sense of frustration from Harry and Meghan seeing all of this play out. I think they will be feeling isolated and angry,” she explained. “With William and Kate’s popularity soaring, there must be a sense of ‘this is my turf’ and she is struggling with understanding why she is so unpopular.”
