Strictly's Amy Dowden shares health update as she feels she's stuck in 'limbo'
Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has shared a health update amid her cancer battle after recently completing chemotherapy.
Amy, 33, was diagnosed with cancer in April after finding a lump shortly before heading off on honeymoon. The BBC star underwent a mastectomy a month after her diagnosis but was subsequently told she would need to undergo chemotherapy after doctors had found cancer elsewhere in her body.
The Strictly star started chemotherapy treatment and made the heartbreaking but brave decision to take back control and shave her hair. In a further devastating update, Amy was rushed to hospital after developing an infection and going into septic shock, following a round of chemotherapy. Earlier this month, the brave star completed her chemotherapy journey but was dealt a new blow.

Reflecting on the two weeks since her chemotherapy ended and she shared a special milestone by ringing the 'cancer bell', Amy said: "Can't believe this was a whole two weeks ago. I'm off to the unit again today for my monthly injection. But it does feel strange as when you're in chemo cycles there's such a routine and at the minute, I feel a little bit in limbo.
"But I'm still so proud of this moment," Amy added. Earlier this week, Amy revealed she was devastated to miss out on Blackpool as she explained why she wouldn't be able to make it to the iconic show venue. In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Amy explained: "Not the week I was hoping for since finishing chemo. Port out but unfortunately gained a boot for a fractured foot.
