A teen has been left looking like a "pufferfish" after going to a beautician who had "lots of bad reviews" for lip fillers.

Evie-Grace Keeler's lips are reportedly still "wonky" and she claims the woman who injected her with fillers burst a blood vessel in her lips, causing them to turn purple and swell for two weeks. Horrifying photos show both the student's top and bottom lips severely swollen and covered in bruises.

Despite being underage, the 17-year-old said this was the second time she had visited the woman's house to get her lips done as it was a bargain price of £65. The teen admitted she had seen the woman's negative reviews ahead of the procedure but opted to go ahead anyway as she was the "only person who would do them while she was underaged."

Evie-Grace claims the woman looked "worried" when she was conducting the treatment and said when she first saw her new lips in the mirror she burst into tears. The health and social care student claims her lips swelled almost instantly after having the filler injection and continued to grow in size for the next two days.

She then spent two weeks embarrassed to leave the house, unable to close her mouth properly and left drinking liquids with a straw. Evie-Grace, who turns 18 in February, claims she was "left looking like she'd been punched in a fight" and said her friends thought her chops resembled a "pufferfish."

She claims it took a fortnight for the bruising to go down and said six months on, her lips are still uneven and she had to use lipstick to cover up the botched job. Under the Botulinum Toxin and Cosmetic Fillers (Children) Act 2021, it is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to be injected with fillers for cosmetic purposes, or for someone to make plans or book an appointment to do so, regardless of parental permission.

Evie-Grace, from Liverton Mines in Middlesbrough, said: "The woman looked very worried when she was doing my lips. [After the procedure], I stood up and she asked if I liked them. I just burst into tears. [When I first saw them] they were just massive and swollen."

She said this was the second time she had visited this woman to have her lips injected after finding her on Facebook and claimed the lady was aware she was under the legal age to get fillers done. Evie-Grace says she admits to reading some bad reviews online about the aesthetician before going for her second treatment but went anyway as she had suffered no side effects the first time around.

She said the woman had facetimed her when she got home from the appointment and told her to take antihistamines to reduce the swelling but this didn't help. She said she has not made a formal complaint to the woman or police, but since suffering her nasty reaction says she will never get lip fillers done again. She now is warning others about the dangers of getting underaged lip jobs and is telling people to check the details of the person thoroughly before getting any injections done.
