A driver had a miraculously escape after his Tesla flew 50ft across a swimming pool through wall and into a family's kitchen
The 70-year-old driver, who has not been named by police, emerged unscathed after his soaring crash in California. His car began it's miracle journey after he bumped over a kerb at speed before it soared over an outdoor pool and smashing into the house. Astonishing pictures of the aftermath on November 17, show the car jammed up against the front of the kitchen's cooker surrounded by crash debris.
Officers say the driver, who was not injured, had been in a neighbouring property when she lost control of the electric-powered Tesla. Jerami Surrat a spokesman for San Mateo Police Department said: "When the driver lost control of the vehicle, the car drove over a curb and through the driveway of a neighbour's home, then through a fence that separated the two properties. The fence and back of the house is approximately 40 feet."

Surratt said: "The driver stated that she was unfamiliar with driving this car and has not driven in about a year. The driver stated there might have been an issue with the car. "
Eyewitnesses say the Tesla was being driven very slowly before it quickly accelerated. Thankfully nobody was home when the car crashed through the kitchen at breakfast time.
The owner's daughter, Meredith Donato, told local media: "My sister actually got an alert from the security alarm system to let her know that someone had broken into the house. If my mother was in the house, she would absolutely have been drinking her tea at 7am in the kitchen." She added: "There's obviously property damage, but at the end of the day it's just stuff."

The Mirror earlier this month told of another crash in California where two women were reportedly "doing donuts" near a popular restaurant.
The Honda SUV crashed into a patio wall at the Black and Blue in Santa Clarita before pulling away, leaving six people with minor injuries that were treated at the scene. Footage captured the Honda pivoting toward a large crowd of patrons lined up outside the restaurant as it flew across the intersection with the passenger hanging out of her window.
California officials said the two women in the vehicle sped off from the scene after the crash with their front bumper dragging on the pavement. Their number plate had also been removed by the impact. Police near the Magic Mountain Parkway pulled over two women believed to be guilty for the damage. They were seen undergoing sobriety tests.
Authorities said the women will be charged with driving under the influence, but the nature of the other charges the two may face is unclear, according to KTLA. Witnesses told police the suspects were attempting to close down the intersection for their "unsuccessful" stunts.
