Prince Harry 'homesick' amid plans to spend Christmas away from UK, expert says
Prince Harry will be suffering from "homesickness" this Christmas, a relationship expert has suggested.
It's been reported that Harry and Meghan Markle would love to return to the UK for Christmas with the Royal Family, although they have not been sent an invite as of yet. And, with further reports that the Duke of Sussex, 39, has been looking for a British base, relationship expert Louella Alderson thinks it could be a recipe for festive melancholy.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, she said: "It's possible that Harry may feel a sense of loneliness during the holiday season, especially if he is house-hunting in the UK and has a desire to spend Christmas in the UK this year." She added: "Being homesick and missing British traditions and celebrations could make the holiday periods more difficult for him.

If the people around Harry know he feels like this, they might put in extra effort to make him feel loved and at home in America during the holiday season."

The couple last had a Royal Christmas in 2018 at Sandringham prior to them leaving the UK and moving to the US. Since then, a lot has happened between them and the rest of the family - including deaths, bombshell Oprah interviews, tell-all books, and claims of snubbing, pain and general distrust.
A friend of the couple told The Sunday Times that both Harry and Meghan want to become more involved with Charles after years of frostiness. They said: "I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays."
It was claimed that Prince Harry did contact his father last week to mark his 75th birthday. As well as the California phone call, it was claimed that the King also got to see a video of Archie and Lilibet singing Happy Birthday. The cute clip has been described by sources close to the Sussexes as a "turning point".
However, earlier this year Charles kicked out Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage, their home in Windsor and it has been reported that they now need a "formal invitation" to be able to stay with the royals on "protected property".
Meghan and Harry are said to have received a number of invitations for Christmas. The couple has been invited to David Foster's extended Christmas weekend and they've also been asked to join Harry's best friend Charlie van Straubenzee and his family. However, a source told New! Magazine that the pair are at a "stalemate" over where they should spend Christmas. They said Harry is longing for the big family celebrations he used to be part of.
The source said: "Harry always enjoyed large family Christmases. It's a shame that his children will miss out on the fun. He used to say that nobody could celebrate Christmas like the Windsors. The Christmas plans are causing a bit of tension because he's fed up with being away from everyone during key milestones."
