Gogglebox star Shirley Griffiths "deserves a medal", according to her husband Dave in a sweet update about their marriage on Instagram.
Channel 4 viewers were over the moon as the loved-up couple shared their news on social media. The couple, who have been inviting viewers into their Caerphilly home since 2015, quickly became fan favourites with their funny comments on the week's top TV shows.

She captioned the post saying: "These were great times, #Benidorm holidays #funinthesun #gogglebox." [sic] In the snap Dave, Shirley and a pal are seen sitting on a sofa as they all pose for the camera. Dave is seen holding up a beer while Shirley kicks her left leg in the air in a carefree manner as she smiles with joy.
In the picture, Shirley showed off a brunette curly perm and complimented her appearance in a button-up yellow minidress. Unable to contain the joy, fans rushed to social media to praise the pair, whose hilarious commentary has earned them a host of fans nationwide. One person said: "Omg I love it u two honestly are the best love ya both hahahaha." And the couple responded by saying: "Aww thanks so much."
Another posted: "Love this photo! You both look fantastic." A third posted: "Shirley you've just kept your modesty there girl! Beautiful couple." Earlier in the series, the pair were noticeably missing from an episode of the Channel 4 show. In a statement posted on Twitter Dave said: "Shirley was a bit under the weather last week, thanks for your concern see you next week xx."
