Things aren't exactly going smoothly for Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), who is currently locked in an impossibly complicated love triangle even by soap standards. Having finally decided to ditch Chloe Harris (Jessica Ellan) for his true love Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), Mackenzie felt unable to after pregnant Chloe collapsed and had to be rushed to hospital.
All the while of course, heartbroken Chloe is already secretly aware that Mackenzie opted to save Charity over her during last month's terrifying cliffside car crash, and knows all too well that her other half still holds more than just a bit of a candle for his old flame. As guilt-ridden Mackenzie grapples with his feelings, we take a look at actor Lawrence's loved-up life behind the scenes with his glamorous girlfriend.

While Mackenzie leads a rather tangled romantic life, OK! reports that Lawrence, 32, is happily loved up with actress, writer, and director Joanne Thomson. Joanne's impressive CV includes acting credits for a number of well-reviewed TV dramas, including Outlander, BAFTA award-winning The Suffragettes, and ITV's BAFTA-nominated In Plain Sight, which won the Glasgow-born thespian two Best Actress nominations at the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA).
Going forward, it appears there's no stopping the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland graduate Joanne, whose directorial debut was recently shortlisted for BFI funding.

They've previously spent time sailing on a yacht in Croatia, and have also enjoyed fun getaways to Malibu, California, Venice, and Edinburgh.

In one very sweet Valentine's Day post, Lawrence could be seen beaming from ear to ear as he opened his present over Zoom call - Disneyland tickets. Joanne wrote: "I got him Disneyland tickets for Valentine's day cos he's never been before and his reaction was the purest thing on God's green earthhhh. Being 5000 miles away sucks A** and I cannot wait to see this face in 10 days and squish it till I literally rip it off except not really cos it is a nice face." In response, besotted Lawrence commented: "you're so beautiful".
