Armed police have today shut down a road in Liverpool and cordoned off the surrounding area following an incident.
A helicopter was seen at the scene on Lee Park Avenue in Belle Vale, Liverpool, following reports of a group of men on electric bikes firing two shots in a car park outside a corner shop. The suspects are understood to be on the run.
People in the area expressed their disgust and shock at tonight's incident. One woman said she would normally send her kids to the shop to pick up any essentials they need but added that she "won't be doing that anymore".
Merseyside Police rushed to the scene this afternoon (LiverpoolEcho WS)Another witness told the Liverpool Echo: "Nothing like this normally happens around here." She added: "It's sickening, anybody could have been walking in the road there. They have no respect for anyone else."
