Supercomputer names transfers Arsenal should make - including Liverpool target
Arsenal are again nicely poised in the Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta's side morphed into a seriously competitive outfit last term as they ran Manchester City close, topping the table for much of the year. In the summer they built on that momentum as Emirates chiefs invested £200m on new talent, including the club-record capture of Declan Rice.
Kai Havertz also came in from Chelsea and Jurrien Timber was signed from Ajax, but suffered an injury blow on the opening weekend that has seen him sidelined. Arsenal are competing across several fronts and look poised to qualify for the Champions League knockout stages.
Arteta is tipped to dip into the market once again come the New Year as Arsenal target problem positions. Ivan Toney has been touted as a target once his ban ends but the north Londoners did spend big in the summer, which will impact on their mid-season budget.
Gabriel Jesus' injury has highlighted their need for a new striker whilst Thomas Partey's fitness issues underlined their need for more depth in midfield. Another left-back would add more quality to Arsenal's squad. The xGOLD supercomputer that comes from the algorithms from Total Football Analysis has eyed up who the Gunners should pursue and at what price.

Pervis Estupinan, £30m
The Brighton left-back is yet another example of the quality operation taking place at the Amex. The Seagulls have exercised the South American market well and Estupinan has been been an impressive performer in the final third.
His ability to tuck into midfield would also aid Arsenal's philosophy, which often sees them have greater possession than their rivals. Unlike Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is a favourite, the Brighton man is a natural defender, which adds to what he can offer.

Khephren Thuram was on Liverpool's radar in the summerKhephren Thuram, £35m
Liverpool had eyes on the Nice midfielder before they opted to pursue other avenues in the summer. The 22-year-old French international is the son of Les Blues legend Lillian and is a similar profile to Rice, but like the ex-Hammer, can also drive through midfield impressively.
He's created 14 chances for his Nice team-mates so far this term - more than one per game. Last term Arsenal benefitted from having two holding midfielders behind Martin Odegaard and Thuram would allow them to revert back to that system.
Serhou Guirassy, £15m
The 27-year-old marksman has been in blistering form this term for Stuttgart, scoring 15 goals in 9 games in the Bundesliga. Guirassy could prove to be a bargain purchase in January with reports stating he has a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave for just £15m. Guirassy's physical presence in the box would present Arsenal with a different dynamic and enable them to be more direct when the time calls.
