Two 12-year-old boys have appeared in court charged with the murder of a 19-year-old.
The boys have been remanded into youth detention at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court charged with murder and possessing a machete. The youths, who are accused of killing 19-year-old Shawn Seesahai in the East Park area of Wolverhampton on Monday night, spoke only to confirm their personal details during a 10-minute hearing before District Judge Graham Wilkinson.
Both boys, who cannot be named because of their age, were ordered to appear again at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday. Shawn Seesahai was with his friends when he was stabbed in the East Park area of Wolverhampton just before 8.30pm on Monday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Two boys were arrested on Tuesday at their home addresses, and were charged with murder and the possession of a bladed article on Thursday after cops obtained a warrant of further detention from the court.

In a tribute to her son released through police yesterday, Shawn’s mother said: "Shawn Seesahai was a courageous, compassionate and confident young soul who sadly lost his life at the age of 19.

"He was looking forward to accomplish many future plans and ambitions. He cared dearly about his family and friends and he absolutely loved to help people. He was a generous person and had a good personality. We will always have him in our hearts."
West Midlands Police said officers are continuing patrols in the East Park area to offer reassurance to the public. DCI Sanders, from the homicide team, earlier said: "Our thoughts remain with Shawn's family, who have been fully updated with this latest development.
"Our investigation is moving at pace and we continue to encourage anyone with information to contact us.” Police have also asked people not to speculate on social media and to "let our detectives continue with our investigation to achieve justice for Shawn’s family".
