Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood calls for Claudia Winkleman spin-off show
Fans haven't seen the best of Claudia Winkleman as her funniest moments are never aired, Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood has revealed.
And it's because of this reason he reckons she deserves her very own TV spin-off. Earlier this month, Claudia made Craig laugh out loud when professional dancer Vito Coppola accidentally called her by the wrong name. Vito and dancer partner Ellie Leach topped the leaderboard with their American Smooth to Ain’t That A Kick In The Head by Robbie Williams, scoring an impressive 39 points.
The conversation got onto their unique team name as Claudia asked them the meaning behind "team aubergine", joking she was "nervous" about the answer. Vito replied: "So Tess, okay..." with his dance partner Ellie quickly pointing out: "Claudia!" The host wasn't bothered by the awkward blunder and quickly quipped: "Doesn't matter, no, I would prefer [that]... I'll take Tess! No, I love you, carry on Graziano," getting her own back before continuing on with the show.
Craig loved the moment so much he called for a spin-off show dedicated to the hilarious host. He said: "Claudia was so funny when Vito called her Tess on the results show the other night and she went, 'Oh I would prefer that - I'll take Tess!' before calling him the name of another pro."

That woman needs her own chat show, she is a natural comedian." It comes after Claudia revealed the whole Strictly team were in tears when they heard Angela Rippon agreed to be on the show.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tour
Veteran TV host Angela, 79, has been a huge hit dancing with Kai Widdrington, 28, despite being in the bottom two recently, and now she has signed up for the show tour. Claudia said: “It’s such an honour that Angela Rippon would say yes, we almost all cried. Annabel Croft is a national treasure. Every single one of the celebrities is great. I love the fact that it spans all ages.”
Claudia also told the Strictly Annual that the show is getting close to entering one of her favourite phases. She added: “I also love it when they go to two routines in one week. I don’t know how they do it. That’s always quite tense. I’d be absolutely terrible. I can’t remember what I had for breakfast, let alone where my foot should go.”
She insisted her love for Strictly remains as strong as when she joined the BBC One show in 2014. Claudia and co-star Tess Daly, 54, are firm friends away from the job. She said: “Tess is the loveliest person in the whole world. As well as our amazing pros, I have to mention Dave Arch, the work he and his band and the live singers do is phenomenal.”
