MAFS UK's Arthur Poremba breaks silence after being dumped by Laura Vaughan

Arthur Poremba has spoken out after being dumped on Married At First Sight UK.

The E4 reality star's marriage broke down on Monday night's episode, calling time on his whirlwind relationship with instant bride Laura Vaughan. She ended things during their final vowel renewal ceremony, leaving Arthur heartbroken.

Taking to social media after the emotional scenes aired yesterday, Arthur mentioned "so many things" happened that "didn't make the edit". He wrote on his Instagram : "Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. Thank you for what’s probably going to be one of the best experiences of my humble life."

Arthur added: "This journey has taught me a few things. I’ve learnt that it’s ok not to be ok, you don’t always have to pretend that you’re the strongest person alive, it’s ok to be vulnerable at times and show your feelings and emotions when needed."

"Thank all the crew and cast members but most importantly Laura for putting up with me behind closed doors - I’ve said and done so many things that didn’t even make the edit!" He broke down on Monday's episode, but Laura didn't feel the same.

She told Arthur: "I know we've grown as individuals in this process, but the more I grow as a person the more I grow apart from you. I've always been a fixer, but I've realised this relationship is something that can't be fixed."

It was only last week that the pair were left fuming after another couple predicted their marriage wouldn't last five minutes. Tasha and Paul were asked to rank the other spouses on how long they'd be together in the following amounts of times: five years, five months, five weeks, five days and five minutes.

The game, which was watched by experts Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas from a separate room, quickly lead to tension amongst the newlywed couples as the solidity of their marriages was measured in blatant terms.

"I’ll go, and you can jump in if I say anything wrong," Paul, 26, tells wife Tasha, after being tasked with the activity. "We will do five years first. I’m going to say Peggy and Georges," prompting the childcare assistant to agree.

Not everybody had the same faith, however, in Peggy and Georges' relationship. Clearly unimpressed with the assessment, Arthur exclaims, "Five years? Really?" in response to Paul and Tasha's positive judgement call.

"Arthur!" Peggy gasps, clearly offended by the tennis coach's swipe at her marriage. Georges is quick to show support for his bride following the cruel remark, protectively putting his arm around the Kent native in a gesture of solidarity.

Paul and Tasha gave the five months' prediction to Matt and Adrienne, who caused major controversy after entering the show as latecomers. The five-week timeline was given to Erica and Jordan over concerns about the couple's distance from each other. Paul and Tasha proceeded to predict that Ella and JJ will last five days, while Arthur's marriage to Laura Vaughan was the most likely to end in five minutes. Unsurprisingly, the damning assessment didn't go down well with the 34-year-old.

"Let's stay together for 10 minutes," Arthur quipped in response, prompting Peggy to ask him for clarification on his comment. "It's a joke," the athlete snapped back, seemingly irritated by his fellow MAFS contestant's question. "Jokes aren't landing, mate," psychiatrist Mel Schilling, who also provided her expert advice on the Australian version of the reality series, observed from another room.
