Sometimes, it can be difficult to use logic in order to answer questions, and you can jump to conclusions that aren't actually true. No matter how many times you try to answer something, you may keep coming up with the wrong answer, rather than the one that's more glaringly obvious than you realise.
And if you get your family and friends involved, things can become a lot more competitive as you all desperately scratch your heads, trying to come to the correct conclusion.
Daily Quiz and Riddles took to X, formerly Twitter, to post a tricky question - and if you can come up with the correct answer, you're seriously intelligent as the question is "only for geniuses'."
The question asks people: "How many times does the digit 9 occur between 1 and 100?", and you'll want to think about it deeply before you rush to the wrong answer - which is seriously easy to do when you're trying to figure it out.
There's no time limit to this, so you've got time to think about it deeply. Is it ten times? 15? Or even more? Many people will be stumped by the question.

In the comments, somebody wrote the correct answer: "The digit occurs 20 times between 1 and 100, it occurs in 9, 19, 29, 39, 49, 59, 69, 79, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98 and 99." Another added: "10 times from 1 to 90, 10 times from 91 to 100."
Many people will automatically ignore the 90, 91, 92, and so on, only counting the 9, 19, 29 etc. Did you manage to get it right? Some people in the comments didn't, not realising that 90 and onwards all contain 9s.
If you fancy trying other brainteasers, why not count the number of Fs in a sentence? It's a lot harder than it looks as our brains have a tendency to skim-read certain words. Or, you could try and find the number 5878 here.
