Married at First Sight UK star Jay Howard has taken to social media to address rumours she is pregnant following speculation by fans of the E4 show.

The 31-year old was the subject of social media gossip on Sunday after co-stars Ella Morgan and Tasha Jay shared a series of snaps to Instagram following a night out in Manchester courtesy of Misspap and Playboy. One of their pictures featured another bride, Rozz Darlington, appearing to rub Jay's tummy, which prompted viewers to ponder whether the Lancashire lass was expecting.

In response, Jay said on her story: "I've seen a lot of comments about this photo! Just to clarify I'm NOT pregnant, I'm just not a size 8 and Rozz likes to touch my tummy. Don't just assume someone is pregnant!"

Jay was forced to leave the show last month after her husband, Luke Worley, was involved in a violent altercation with another groom, Jordan Gayle. In dramatic scenes, viewers watched with bated breath as Luke went knocking on Jordan's apartment door only to end up pushing him, with the pair finding themselves in a heated brawl which viewers later deemed "embarrassing".

The argument kicked off after Luke accused Jordan of trying to "ruin" his marriage with Jay over comments he made at a previous dinner party. And Luke only made his situation by issuing several stinging attacks on Jordan on social media afterwards, resulting in Channel 4 bosses banning him from the programme's reunion special.

Despite the drama, Luke and Jay are reportedly still an item. Appearing on Jordan Brook's podcast, Into The Barbershop, meanwhile, Luke opened up about his mental health struggles after breaking up with his former girlfriend before he found love again with Jay. The Essex native confessed he felt as though he didn't want to go on after the break-up happened.

"People don't talk about men's mental health enough you know. People thought I was okay after the break-up, but I wasn't. I was suicidal," Luke revealed. "I've not said this to no-one, so this is the first time I'm saying it. There was one time I was sat on the end of my bed with tablets in my hand. That relationship was all I knew. It wasn't just her I lost, it was my pet, it was my home, it was her family, it was my life. My life was done. This is why I needed to go on MAFS."

When asked by podcast host Jordan if Luke feels 'good' mentally now after finding love again, the reality TV star confirmed: "Yeah I'm so good. The reason I chose to do MAFS this year is because I was ready. I would have been in the wrong headspace the previous years. It wouldn't have been the real me, so, I wanted to wait until I was in the right place. I obviously married a stranger, and it worked out."
