Geri Halliwell-Horner praised for career move that she can 'finally share'
Spice Girl star Geri Halliwell-Horner has been flooded with support after sharing her role in the movie Gran Turismo.
The film, which was released in the summer, tells the true story of Jann Mardenborough, a teenage Gran Turismo player who became a professional racing car driver. Geri plays Jann's mother Leslie, and has now shared her excitement at the movie being released and that it occupies the top spot in the US film charts.
Writing a post to her 1.3 million Instagram followers, the former Spice Girl wrote: "Finally… I can share this! What an epic adventure we had filming Gran Turismo. We were number one movie in USA!"

Another showed Geri posing in front of her trailer.
In one cosy snap, Geri can be seen beaming alongside on-screen husband Djimon as they posed with younger stars Archie Madekwe and Daniel Puig, who play their on-screen children, Jack and Coby.

Fans rushed into the comments to praise Geri and her acting role, as one wrote: "Awesome movie! Loved it!" Another commented: "You did such an amazing job in the movie, I meant to tell you!!! They should’ve put Scream If You Wanna Go Faster on the soundtrack." A third shared: "You stole the show!!!! When you cried “my baby!!!!” I LOSSSSSSST IT!!"
"I thought this movie is just one from the forgettable ones, but it was ultimate positive surprise. I can say it's one of the best car/race movies ever," shared a fourth.
Last month Geri alongside husband and F1 driver Christian Horner opened up in an interview about parenting and their blended family. The pair got married in 2015 before welcoming their son, Monty, in 2017. Geri also has a daughter Bluebell, 17, from her previous relationship with Sacha Gervasi while Christian shares daughter, Olivia, 10, with his ex -wife, Beverley Allen.
Opening up about the difference in raising Bluebell and Monty, Geri explained she needs to 'think like a team' with Christian as opposed to 'doing things her own way' with her daughter, who she raised on her own.
Sharing a rare insight into co-parenting with her husband on Giovanna Fletcher’s Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she said: "You've got to compromise, we might have, you know, we're all different in the way we think things should be done. So learning to be a team, which has been a challenge for me."
Opening up about raising Bluebell, Geri described the 'loneliness' she felt, saying: "Being a single parent, mother you don't have to answer to anyone, but it's all on you. And that can be quite stressful and you have to be responsible. All the responsibilities are on you in every way. Broad shoulders are needed and sometimes it's lonely."
