Strictly's Vito Coppola praises 'diamond' Ellie Leach amid 'romance'
Strictly Come Dancing star Vito Coppola heaped praise on his dance partner Ellie Leach once more on Sunday night, amid rumours of a romance between the pair.
Coronation Street actress Ellie and pro dancer Vito have yet to confirm whether they are dating or not, while they have posted numerous gushy messages about each other online. One of their co-stars dropped major hints the pair were together outside of the show recently, further fuelling the rumours while the pair do appear very close on the show.
On Sunday, the duo celebrated as they made it through for another week, and learned they would be performing during the Blackpool special. As their names were announced, the pair embraced and thanked viewers - with Vito planting a number of kisses on Ellie's head.
When speaking to host Claudia Winkleman after, Vito told her that Ellie was a "diamond". Claudia had asked him about it before pulling a face, putting him on the spot to see what he meant amid romance rumours swirling.

But not the normal diamond, she's like this rough diamond that you need to put under pressure and shine the sides, and at the end it becomes the diamond."

Claudia then said: "So rough?" to which Vito replied, as Ellie giggled: "At the moment we are in-between the rough and the shiny perfect, we're in-between, we are in the process." As the audience laughed, Ellie said: "Yeah... okay."
Host Claudia then said: "Okay... everyone breathe." The pair have been subjected to romance rumours for a number of weeks now, but their co-star Amanda Abbington seemingly confirmed they were dating when she let slip they were a couple in a comment on Ellie's social media page last week.
Just days ago they continues to fuel romance rumours by matching outfits on It Takes Two. Like in a recent chat, the pair donned matching outfits and they were almost identical.
Both Ellie and Vito opted for a black roll-neck thin jumper, with a pair of jeans and black boots. Viewers believed they had deliberately coordinated their clothes, and that this could be a sign they were romantically involved with each other.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, during the live show one viewer noted: "Ellie and Vito keep turning up to #ItTakesTwo in the same clothes. I'm expecting the paparazzi shot of them kissing any day now." Another fan said: "Ellie and Vito in their adorable matching outfits again," while a third added: "Think Ellie & Vito must have texted each other. More or less dressed the same."
